Liam and I have been taking sign language classes. Well, I've been learning signs and Liam has been socializing with other babies whose parents are also learning to sign. The "experts" say to start signing to babies as young as 3 months, and they will silently absorb these until they have the dexterity to make the signs themselves (there are parallels to speaking here). I am focussing on these four signs: "Milk", "More", "All Done", and "Change" (Diaper). Check back in 4-5 months to see if Liam has turned his fists into something more communicative.
