Yesterday we visited the Field Museum www.fieldmuseum.org ... Dad wanted to see the special "Gold" exhibit, and Liam got to see "Sue" the most complete and best preserved Tyrannosaurus rex in the world.

Gymboree
Liam and I have been going to weekly classes at our local Gymboree... he loves climbing, sliding, throwing balls, and running under the parachute.

Rainy Sunday
We spent the day indoors dodging the rainfall. Liam got very busy keeping up with the news and catching up on his books.
Vacation wrap up
Yes, it's true we returned Sunday one week ago, but I'm just downloading the photos this evening... it's been quite a busy week back at work (great news actually with the FDA approving our fantastic new product - an MRI compatible pacemaker) which has kept me from keeping this blog current.
Liam did get to explore some new activities:

We got to wrap up our visit with a stop in Denver to see Auntie Megan and (soon to be) Uncle Scott.

Evening Adventure
We had a nice adventure last night... we took gondola ride followed by snow cat ride to reach a lovely cabin in Game Creek bowl, where we saw the sunset and had a fantastic dinner. Liam stayed up well past his bedtime, and charmed all the other diners.

20 inches
It finally finished snowing and left us with 20 inches. Dad has been shoveling the car out from under drifts for the past hour (still not done).
Liam went for a wander around the neighborhood, had a sled ride, and experienced his first "face wash" in a snow drift.
Chicago Blizzard
It's still very windy outside, we'll save sledding for later in the day when the sun comes out. 12 inches of snowfall overnight and still snowing.
These photos from 6am...
it's so windy that the snow blew under our front door!
