Kitty Cat

Liam ADORES cats... he knows where all the neighborhood cats live and can spot them from a distance as we walk down the block. He mimics their meow (sounds more like a "mee, mee"), and when he can't play with the real thing he brings his stuffed animal cats along with him. Here he is playing with Oma and Opa's kitty.

Summer Preview

We made a quick stop at our neighborhood farmers market, which always has musicians on hand. Liam loves to hear the music and really enjoyed this bluegrass duo.

We followed up with a lap on the boardwalk around the south pond of Lincoln Park Zoo.

The next Bill Gates?

Liam and I were both working on our laptops, when quick as a flash he managed to rearrange his screen (if anyone knows how to change the monitor view 180 so I don't need to read upside down, please let me know!) and remove a few keys. Quick and technically curious, yes. Helpful, no.

Mother's Day

We had some fantastic weather this weekend, and took full advantage at the park and the zoo. Liam got to trial his new wagon for the first time, and loved the 360 degree view (mom and dad are still trying to figure out how to keep him in it, as there are no safety straps).

Wheee....

Surprises

I was putting Liam to bed, following our usual routine of a warm bath, followed by a few bedtime stories, and finishing with a lullaby along with a little backrub. He apparently didn't want the evening to end, because when I finished singing, instead of drifting off to sleep as expected, he sat upright in his crib and clapped his hands as if to say, "well done mom, encore".
